The magnetic material may be iron. In Fig. 4 iron chips are released from hopper 24 onto non- magnetic stainless-steel guide 13 and are carried along guide 13 by magnets 11 on endless chain 21 until they are beneath magnetic striking plate 12 which crushes the iron chips when forced down by impact block 26 acting through springs 29 and raised and dropped by cam 30. In a second embodiment, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown) in place of plate 12 and block 26 are a series of magnetic rollers (42) which partially crush the chips as they move along the guide, the rollers (42) then being raised and lowered by motor (58) acting through linkages (61, 57, 54) to crush the chips. In a third embodiment, Fig. 7 (not shown) chips A are placed in a recess (74) in a block of non-magnetic material (75) in which is embedded a permanent magnet (71) below the recess, and a magnetic striking member (72) is raised and dropped on the chips. In a fourth embodiment, Fig. 8, chips A are poured through an opening 91 into the nip between magnetic roller 82 and a roller 83 of non-magnetic material with magnets 81 in its periphery, roller 83 being supported by shaft 87 on movable framework 86 urged to the left by springs 90 acting on rods 89, and roller 83 is repeatedly reciprocated back and forth to crush the chips between itself and roller 82.

The invention relates to devices for grinding materials, in particular ferrous metal particles, and can be applied in the metallurgical, non-ferrous and other industries. A device for grinding materials is known that contains a hopper, a working body located above an endless chain 1. A disadvantage of the known device is the low efficiency of the grinding process of ferrous metal particles due to the fact that the fine particles of the chip tend to spherical shape and have weak disintegration and characteristics. The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the grinding process of ferrous metal particles. This goal is achieved by the fact that a device for grinding materials, containing a loading bunker, an impact tool, located above an endless chain, is equipped with magnets mounted on an endless chain and a impact tool, and a guide plate made of a nonmagnetic material, located below the working organ and connected at one end with the bottom of the bunker. . Fig. 1 shows a proposed grinding device with a rod-shaped tool, fig. 2 the same, with a working body in the form of a roller; figure 3 - the same, with a group of rollers. The device for grinding materials contains a hopper 1, a shock working body 2, which can be made in the form of a rod I to the lower end of which the impact part 4 is attached. The rod is vertically movable and alternately held in the lower and upper positions by the stops 5. The working body 2 is located t, 6, with the magnets 7 and 8 fastened on the last and on the working body. The guide plate 9 is made of a non-magnetic material and is located under the working body and is connected at one end to the lower part of the bunker 1. The working body 2 may be made in the form of a roller 10 (FIG. 2) or a group of rollers 11 (FIG. 3). The device works as follows. Portions of ferrous metal shavings from the hopper 1 through the discharge opening to the guide plate 9 and then move along under the action of individual magnets 7 mounted on the moving chain 6, under the working body 2. The chips are oriented in the direction of the magnetic field magnetic field formed between The magnets 7 and 8. Under the influence of the working body, the particles of the material are crushed and move along the guide plate 9 with a magnetic force to the output end, from which the particles fall into the receiver.
